Fantastic. Got us un-lost many, many times. Highly recommended!
Features needed (FYI, Serena is the automated voice that provides audible instructions):
- verbose mode - Serena could be more reassuring, speaking up more frequently, especially after traveling quite a few miles with no feedback or instructions. "Youre on the right road. Carry on."
Or, "Im still here, youre doing fine..."
- built in Help system - explaining all of the options and how to use them. A URL to a site with videos would be great as well.
- tourist mode - Serena should verbally notify the user of the various points of interest that have been selected in the Settings. "You are approaching the Lake District Botanical Garden, operated by the National Trust. Entrance is on your right in one half mile."
Or, "There is a turnout in 100 yards that provides a stellar view of Coniston Water."
- attitude mode - Serena is so patient that she drives us nuts. If I set my Settings to Snarky, she might be able to cut loose a bit, and tell me in no uncertain words that "You missed the bloody turn for the third time! Are you paying attention? Would you like me to drive?" Etc.
